Magda Cocco (Sócia), Tiago Bessa (Sócio) e Rui Gordete Almeida (Associado) escrevem um artigo para a Lexology intitulado “The new Portuguese electronic communications law has been approved and a new wave of regulation has just began, no âmbito da Nova Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Lei n.º 16/2022, de 16 de agosto), que revoga a anterior Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Lei n.º 5/2004, de 10 de fevereiro) e, nomeadamente, transpõe o Código Europeu das Comunicações Eletrónicas para ordenamento jurídico português, colocando enfim um ponto final a um extenso processo legislativo.

“Overall, the New ECL introduces a comprehensive, complex and detailed set of rules closely following EECC's wording and objectives. In fact, when compared with the EECC’s text, the topic where we can see more variations is the end-user’s rights, something not surprising, since this matter was the epicentre of the Parliamentary discussions held during the legislative procedure.”
