Conta com uma experiência internacional de mais de 10 anos em jurisdições africanas, designadamente em Angola e Moçambique, onde tem participado de forma activa em projectos e operações no setor do petróleo e gás (upstream, midstream e downstream), assessorando os mais variados players do setor em questões regulatórias, contratuais (contratos de EPCC, EPC, EPCI, joint ventures, consórcios, agência, acordos de gestão), comerciais & societárias, reestruturações, fusões & aquisições, IDE (Investimento Directo Estrangeiro), cambiais e de shipping.
Em relação ao setor do shipping, tem representado os interesses dos variados agentes da indústria, incluindo donos e armadores de navios, afretadores, interessados na carga, Clubes P&I, bancos, estaleiros, operadores portuários, gestores e agentes de navegação. Adicionalmente, participa de forma regular em várias transacções naqueles países, assessorando diariamente empresas líderes nos setores da energia, infra-estruturas, distribuição, retalho e transportes (navegação e portos).
Licenciatura em Direito pela Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Coimbra.
Pós-graduação em Direito das Empresas pela Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Coimbra.
Pós-graduação em Direito do Trabalho pela Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Coimbra.
LL.M em Commercial and Financial Law pela Faculty of Law do King's College London.
Integra a PRIME Advogados, membro exclusivo da VdA Legal Partners em Angola, como Sócio.
Foi Of Counsel da ASP Advogados.
Antes de integrar a firma trabalhou durante seis anos no escritório Miranda Correia Amendoeira.
Em 2008 esteve em secondment no escritório de Londres da Eversheds International LLP.
De 2002 a 2008 integrou o escritório Barrocas Sarmento Neves.
Autor de várias obras e artigos de shipping sobre Angola, Portugal e Moçambique em revistas da especialidade publicadas, entre as quais:
