Carla Gonçalves Borges participated on May 25, 2023, in the conference "ESG | Corporate Sustainability and New Litigation" which took place in the Lisbon Campus of Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP).

The panel focused on "ESG and New Litigation" and was moderated by Professor Ana Filipa Morais Pais Antunes. Carla Gonçalves Borges’s conference presentation focused on the advent of climate litigation and its trends in the context of the importance of ESG standards. The panel also counted with the participation of Carmina Campos Pina, Managing Associate of Linklaters, and Lisa Pinto Ferreira, lawyer specialized in Energy Law.

The conference began with the presentation of the Keynote Speaker, Gabriela Figueiredo Dias, who acts as President of IESBA - International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants, followed by the first panel, dedicated to "ESG and Corporate Sustainability". This panel included the participation of Marta Almeida Afonso, Director of Legal Services and General Counsel of REN, Marta Cruz de Almeida, General Counsel of Galp, and Vera Eiró, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Regulatory Authority of Water and Waste Services (ERSAR).
