João Afonso Fialho
João Afonso Fialho a rejoint VdA en 2015. Il est l’Associé responsable de la pratique Pétrole & Gaz. Au cours des 20 dernières années, il a participé à tous types de projets et d’opérations pétrolières et gazières dans plusieurs juridictions, notamment au Timor-Leste, Angola, Portugal, Mozambique, République du Congo, République démocratique du Congo, Guinée-Bissau et São Tomé-et-Principe. João a travaillé dans les secteurs de l’énergie (projets pétroliers et gaziers amont/aval) et de l'industrie minière.
Orateur régulier lors d’événements internationaux de l'industrie pétrolière et gazière amont et aval. Il possède une connaissance détaillée et exhaustive des projets et transactions type de cette industrie, qu'il s'agisse de contrats de partage de production, d'accords, de JOA, de contrats opérationnels, de contrats d'unitisation, de contrats de services, de contrats de FPSO, de contrats de système de transport par pipeline, d'accords de stockage, de collecte et d’interconnexion, de contrats d’ingénierie, de construction et d'approvisionnement, de contrats de distribution et de vente et d’achat. En ce qui concerne le secteur du pétrole & gaz en particulier, il a été présent dans les juridictions précédemment citées en représentation aussi bien d’opérateurs que d’entreprises de services d’exploration et d’extraction pétrolières.
Licence en Droit de la Faculté de Droit de l’Université de Lisbonne.
Il a suivi la partie théorique de la Maîtrise en droit commercial international de la Faculté de Droit de l’Université de Lisbonne.
Avant de rejoindre VdA il a travaillé au cabinet de Tomás Rocha (1993-1997), chez Miranda Correia Amendoeira & Associados (1997-2015) où il a conseillé différentes entreprises pétrolières sur l’activité de downstream et il a été membre de la pratique oil&gas upstream et downstream, respectivement. Il a été membre de la direction où il a occupé différentes positions de 2007 à 2015.
Auteur et co-auteur de plusieurs articles sur les questions et tendances juridiques qui ont un impact sur les domaines de l'énergie, des mines et de l'investissement privé, à savoir :
- "Petroleum Africa, Minerals & Mining, The Mining Law Review" (trois éditions) ;
- Publicações AIPN ;
- "Getting the Deal Through Mining" (2011 à 2014).
