Pedro Simões Coelho is a new partner at Vieira de Almeida & Associados.

Pedro Simões Coelho has become a VdA partner, boosting VdA’s strategy of continuous organic growth and the creation of new areas of expertise, reinforcing the firm’s ambitious goals for the forthcoming years.

Pedro Simões Coelho joined VdA in 1998 as a senior associate, and has since been active in the banking & finance department, where he has developed significant expertise, notably in the Collective Investment Schemes area, and in such capacity he has been involved in several transactions, in Portugal and abroad, mainly focused on the advising, structuring and establishing of private equity structures and collective investment schemes. He has also been actively working in advising fund managers, venture capitalists, brokers, banks and other investment firms on a wide range of regulatory and related matters. Before joining VdA, he was a senior lawyer at CMVM – the Portuguese Securities Market Commission – in which he was responsible for the Investment Funds and International Relationship areas of the Financial Intermediaries Department.

VdA now has 110 lawyers, representing all business law areas, with premises in Lisbon, Oporto and Madeira.
