The website www.vda.pt (“Site”) was created by, belongs to and is operated by Vieira de Almeida & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, SP RL (“VdA”), and its use is governed by these Terms of Use.

Site users (“User”) acknowledge that in using this Site they accept these Terms of Use.

 

Access to the Site

Users may access the Site through their browser. VdA is however exclusively entitled to, at any time, suspend access to the Site, whether partially or entirely, notably for the management, maintenance, repair, modification or updating of the Site, and to, at any time, shut down the Site, whether permanently or temporarily and whether partially or entirely.

 

Intellectual Property Rights

Users acknowledge that the contents of this Site are proprietary rights of VdA and of third parties and undertake not to infringe such rights.

VdA has title to or is duly licensed in relation to the rights over contents, images, graphics, sound, and animation and any other information, and the format in which they are graphically displayed on the Site. This includes all trademarks, logos, and symbols, as well as the layout and structure of the Site.

General Terms of Use

Users undertake to act responsibly and in good faith when using the Site. Users notably undertake to:

(i)             Refrain from acting against the law, including violating the rights of others or damaging the good name, image, reputation, and good standing of any persons, whether individuals or companies, including VdA and other users;

(ii)           Refrain from designing or using any technological tools or measures, whether through computer programming or the use of pre-existing software, intended or fit to interrupt, destroy, limit the functionality or exploit any computer vulnerability of the Site, any equipment or computer system;

(iii)          Should any defect, bug or anomaly in the Site also be detected, Users must immediately communicate its existence to VdA and not seek, through such defect, bug or anomaly, to access commercial information, personal data of other users, alter the characteristics of the Site or, in any other way, exploit the defect, bug or anomaly to use the Site in an irregular, unlawful manner or different to VdA’s design.

If Users should breach their obligations arising from these Terms of Use, they can be held liable under the law for any damages caused to VdA and/or third parties.

 

Processing of Personal Data

VdA is committed to Users’ privacy. Browsing our Site does not necessarily entail the collection of personal data, but you can learn more about how we process your personal data by reading our Privacy Policy.

Users browsing the Site will have access to personal data, including of VdA staff. Such personal data must not be processed without VdA or the relevant staff members being duly notified of the intention to process their data.

The information provided on the Site seeks to explain and introduce VdA’s activity to Users. The information provided has been thoroughly checked. When completing the forms available on the Site, Users must answer truthfully and fully, so that VdA can (i) manage your participation in the event you register for; (ii) return your contact attempt; (iii) ensure your subscription to our newsletter or (iv) reply to your application.

VdA disclaims any liability for any content provided on the forms, or for any damages arising from any wrong information provided by Users. Users must refrain from including third-party data in the forms without first informing the relevant third parties of the personal data processing terms and/or securing their consent to such end, as provided for in our Privacy Policy.

If any part or provision of these Terms of Use is unenforceable or contrary to applicable law, the remaining parts or provisions of these Terms of Use will not be affected.
