Tiago Bessa and Martim Farinha wrote the article "The EU Digital services act and its implications in Portugal" published in Lexology.

This article reflects on the implementation of the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) and its implications in Portugal. In an initial analysis, Tiago Bessa and Martim Farinha clarify the main objectives of the implementation of the DSA, whose implementation depends on the consignation of Digital Services Coordinators in each Member State.

The authors explain that, in Portugal, the entities designated to fulfil this role are the Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM), the Entidade Reguladora para a Comunicação Social (ERC) and the Inspeção-Geral das Atividades Culturais (IGAC). In this article, the authors emphasise the importance of coordination between the three entities for the correct implementation of the DSA in Portugal.
