Manuel Protásio contributed an article entitled “Industrial Revolution”, covering the role played by renewable energy in both the Portuguese and global economies to date and made reference to the positive approach of the Portuguese government in this area. “Achieving 45% of production and 39% of consumption of electricity from renewable sources by 2010 constitutes a near impossible task”.
