Pedro Cassiano Santos talks to the Iberian Lawyer
Pedro Cassiano Santos, partner at VdA and head of the Banking & Finance practice talked to the Iberian Lawyer about the recapitalization of Portuguese banks for its report on the present scenario regarding the banking sector in Portugal and in Spain. The publication stresses 'the raising of the capital ratio to 10 per cent by the Bank of Portugal, compared to nine per cent in the rest of Europe, in order to preserve the stability of the financial system'. 'This was to make banks more capable to resist and absorb losses', writes the Iberian Lawyer quoting Cassiano Santos.
