Vera Lúcia Raposo lectures at the University of Lisbon's Faculty of Medicine

Should a doctor override a patient's will and refuse to apply high risk treatments? May a patient have free access to his/her medical registries in order to prove a medical error? To what extent is a doctor «untouchable» in terms of liability? These and other numerous questions were answered by Vera Lúcia Raposo, Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA)'s lawyer specializing in Biomedical Law at a lecture in the University of Lisbon's Faculty of Medicine. The lecture took place on the 14 December and was delivered in the scope of the Medicine Masters Course as part of the Module on "Clinical Practice: the doctor, the person, the patient".
