VdA organizes a conference dedicated to Francophone Africa

“Francophone Africa: a region to be exploited?” is the name of the event that took place on the 11th December, at VdA, fully devoted to this specific region of the African Continent.

João Vieira de Almeida (Managing Partner) makes the opening remarks for this conference which includes an intervention of Paulo Portas – former Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs – focused on the geo-political and geo-economic analysis of the region, a presentation by Matthieu Le Roux, VdA Partner, focused on the legal framework and a broad debate around the region perspectives with a panel composed by Margarida Damião Ferreira (Zagope), Jorge Sousa (Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Portugal-Senegal), Jules Obiang (VdA partner in Gabon) and Matthieu Le Roux and Olivier Bustin (VdA).

Following three years of the beginning of VdA’s expansion, we intend to sensitize the Portuguese companies to a region that presents relevant / significant opportunities which allow them to make a difference.

VdA started its expansion to Francophone Africa in 2015, under the coordination of Matthieu Le Roux (Partner of VdA) and it counts, at the presente moment, with five francophone countries in VdA Legal Partners: Gabon, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Chad and e Cameroons.
