As part of the “Foundations 360º: Foundation Capacity-Building Sessions” programme, the Portuguese Foundation Centre, in partnership with VdA — Vieira de Almeida, will hold a new online session on 17 September.

Focusing on “Combating Corruption, Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing”, the session will be led by Andreia Oliveira Ferreira.

The opening remarks will be delivered by Ana Festas Henriques, and the closing remarks by Ricardo Garcia, Secretary-General of the Portuguese Foundation Centre.

Taking a highly practical approach, the session will provide an overview of the main legal obligations applicable to the foundation sector and identify essential procedures concerning prevention, internal controls, risk assessment and regulatory compliance.

The aim is to strengthen foundations’ ability to adopt practices that are more robust, transparent and aligned with the applicable legal requirements.
