Ana Festas Henriques rejoined VdA in 2023. She is Managing Associate at the Social Economy & Human Rights area of practice where she has been actively involved in several transactions, namely regarding human rights and technology, and Pro Bono Manager.

Before rejoining the firm she worked as an advisor to the Portuguese Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Administrative Modernization and the Portuguese Secretary of State for Digital Transition (2020-2023).

She was a Senior Associate/Associate at the Information, Communication & Technology area at VdA (2017-2020), having done a secondment in one of the biggest telecommunications companies in the world and having co-developed a social digital & education entrepreneurship project to help kids understand the dangers of the internet.

She was an Associate at the Technology, Media and Telecommunications & Intellectual Property at CCA LAW (2012-2017) having co-founded the “Startinnovation Team”. The team supported Startups and SMEs on technology issues and won the prize “Business Development Innovation” by The Legal Week Innovation Awards, 2017.

Admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association.
