VdA has been shortlisted for the ‘Women in Business Law Awards 2026’, with nominations in the categories ‘Portugal Firm of the Year’ and for several individual awards, which recognise the professional merit and contribution of VdA’s female lawyers across different practice areas.
At an individual level, VdA has nominations in the following categories:
- Benedita Gonçalves: ‘Lawyer of the Year – Labour & Employment’;
- Catarina Pinto Correia: ‘Lawyer of the Year – Environment’;
- Francisca Paulouro: ‘Lawyer of the Year – Life Sciences’;
- Marta Alves Vieira: ‘Lawyer of the Year – Patent’;
- Teresa Empis Falcão: ‘Lawyer of the Year – Project Finance’;
- Vanda Cascão: 'Lawyer of the Year - Energy, natural resources & mining';
- Ana Festas Henriques: ‘Individual Spotlight – Pro bono Leader of the Year’;
- Rita Pereira de Abreu: ‘Rising Star – Tax’;
- Joana Reis Barata: ‘Rising Star – Intellectual Property – Western Europe’.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held on 25 June 2026 at The Biltmore Mayfair in London.
The ‘Women in Business Law Awards’, organised by the Legal Benchmarking Group, annually recognise female lawyers who excel in their practice areas, as well as firms that promote diversity and the development of female talent in the legal sector.
