Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA) is pleased to have assisted the setting up of a new charity institution in Madeira, under the scope of the firm's Pro Bono and Social Responsibility Activity. On the 13 January 2012, the deed was signed to create the Portuguese Association for People with Special Needs - Associação Portuguesa das Pessoas com Necessidades Especiais - Associação Sem Limites (APPNE-ASL) which aims to represent, promote, teach and defend human rights and liberties of people with special needs in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. This is taken forth by supporting the integration and social insertion of children, youngsters and adults with special needs as well as their relatives.

It is the firm's aim to continue to provide Pro Bono legal advice to any institution carrying out similar missions such as the APPNE-ASL's one and it will definitely carry on assisting all of its future projects.
