VdA publishes its first carbon footprint report

VdA has undergone for the first time an external assessment of the carbon footprint resulting from the firm's activity for the year 2011.

The calculation was taken forth by a consultant on sustainability following The Legal Sector Alliance Carbon Footprint Protocol's guidelines and uses calculation elements adapted to the Portuguese reality. According to the consultant's report, VdA's carbon emissions per worker in 2011 are under the average values reported by members of the Legal Sector Alliance for the same period (3,38 t CO2e/worker) and when compared to its international peers, VdA's data indicates a good performance by the firm as regards sustainability.
