The growing demand for transparency in organisations' remuneration policies, driven by the EU Pay Transparency Directive, is transforming the way companies approach compensation, equity and organisational culture. In this context, Américo Oliveira Fragoso is part of the faculty of the executive programme "Pay Transparency: From Compliance to Strategy", promoted by Católica-Lisbon School of Business & Economics.
Considered a pioneering initiative in Portugal, the programme brings together experts in law, compensation and change management to support organisations and professionals in preparing for the new legal and organisational requirements resulting from Directive (EU) 2023/970.
As part of the programme, Américo Oliveira Fragoso is responsible for the modules dedicated to the legal framework of pay transparency, addressing the current landscape in the European Union and Portugal, as well as the key challenges associated with implementing the new directive.
Recognised for his expertise in this field, Américo Oliveira Fragoso also took part in Católica-Lisbon SBE's recent conference on pay transparency, where he highlighted the importance of the Portuguese legislative framework and drew attention to the challenges involved in aligning national and European regulations.
At a time when organisations are being called upon to review their policies, processes and people management practices, this programme represents an opportunity to develop an integrated approach to pay transparency, balancing legal compliance, organisational sustainability and change management.
