José Miguel Carracho contributed to the publication ‘MiCA - A New Framework for the European Crypto-assets Market’, with an article entitled ‘MiCA's Scope: Exclusion of Crypto-Assets qualified as Financial Instruments under the Existing EU Legal Framework’.

The book, published by Almedina, gathers in-depth analyses of the Regulation (EU) 2023/1114, which establishes a regulatory framework for the crypto-assets market in the European Union (MiCA's).

Among the topics covered are the exclusion of cryptoassets that are not qualified as financial instruments, the lack of user confidence in this market and the legal challenges faced by companies providing services in this area. The publication features contributions from different experts, who analyse both the opportunities and the challenges that this regulation presents to the sector.
