Carlos Couto, Pedro Simões Coelho, Carolina Telles Ferreira and Tiago Peyroteo have authored the Angola chapter of the 14th edition of Alternative Investment Funds 2026, part of the International Comparative Legal Guides (ICLG) series.

The chapter examines the regulatory framework, fund structures, marketing, investments, disclosure requirements, taxation, and sector trends and reforms.

The chapter notes that Angola’s legal framework has remained stable and that the regulatory environment is gradually maturing. It also highlights the continued focus on funds investing in sectors that support economic diversification, particularly mining and infrastructure. Despite these developments, fundraising activity and market depth remain limited, with institutional investors still the main source of capital.
