Tiago Bessa and Marília Frias participate as speakers in the 1st Preparation Course for the Digital Services Act, organised by the Institute of Legal and Political Sciences of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

On 3 October, the lawyer spoke about "Introduction to the DSA: Material and territorial scope of application", a regulation that will apply from 17 February 2024 and which represents a new way of regulating digital services, creating various obligations for entities that participate in the digital ecosystem, such as Internet access service providers, digital platforms, social networks, digital marketplaces, app shops, cloud service providers, among others.

On 18 October, the lawyer will be lecturing the theme "Due diligence obligations specific to online platform providers", on the following topics: Obligations to submit transparency reports; design and organisation of the online interface; advertising on online platforms; transparency of recommendation systems; protection of minors online.
