Marília Frias

Marília Frias joined VdA in 2015. She is Managing Associate of the Information, Communication & Technology practice.

She has a wide experience in advising clients in various jurisdictions, in particular Portugal and Angola, and in various sectors including aviation, energy and mining.

Law degree University of Coimbra Faculty of Law.

Erasmus Program at "Université de Poitiers", France.

Master degree in Corporate Law - Lisbon Law School.

LL.M. in International Business Law - Lisbon Catholic University.

Lecturer at the Aviation Law Course organized by the European Law Students Association in 2017.

Marília Fras is Consultant at ASP Advogados, Vieira de Almeida's partner law firm in Angola.

Before joining the firm she worked at Miranda Correia Amendoeira & Associados, Sociedade de Advogados, RL, as Associate, from 2008 to 2015, and focused her practice on the energy sector (mainly oil & gas and electricity) and in the mining sector, as well as in corporate and commercial law. 

Co-author of various articles in several legal publications, such as:

  • International Comparative Legal Guide to: Mining Law (chapter on Portugal and Angola)
  • Getting the Deal Through - Mining (chapter on Angola and Mozambique)
  • Petroleum Africa, The Mining Law Review (chapter on Angola and DRC)
