On General Data Protection Regulation’s 6th anniversary, Inês Antas de Barros will participate in a conference organised by the Bank of Portugal which aims to promote the importance of adopting action models to protect personal data.

Inês Antas de Barros will participate in the information panel "Artificial intelligence and the GDPR - The banking sector's view", moderated by Ana Moucho, Secretary General of the Portuguese Banking Association, and composed by António Branco, Associate Professor at the University of Lisbon and Ricardo Chaves, Director of the BPI AI Centre of Excellence.

Afterwards, the programme includes the panel "GDPR as a risk management tool", moderated by Fernando Silva from the European Parliament Office in Portugal and with the participation of Luís Filipe Antunes, Full Professor at the University of Porto, João Tudela Martins, Executive Director and Chief Risk Officer at Caixa Geral de Depósitos and Gabriel Andrade from the Risk Management Department at the Bank of Portugal.

In addition, the conference programme includes the participation of the Governor of the Bank of Portugal, Mário Centeno, the President of the National Data Protection Commission, Paula Meira Lourenço and the President of the Portuguese Banking Association, Vítor Bento.

This event took place on 27 May, from 2pm to 6.15pm, at the Money Museum in Lisbon.
