The Advocatus Summit returns for its 8th edition. The event will take place at the Grand Hall of the Portuguese Bar Association, as part of the institution’s centenary celebrations, bringing together experts, business leaders and political decision-makers to discuss the legal, regulatory and strategic challenges shaping today’s landscape.
In a context of rapid economic and social transformation, this year’s edition will focus on topics such as administrative justice, defence, energy, tourism, artificial intelligence and housing, promoting a broad reflection on the role of Law as a critical infrastructure of the State and a driver of economic competitiveness.
André Gaspar Martins will take part in the panel dedicated to Administrative Justice, under the theme “As a Critical Infrastructure of the State”. The debate will take place following the keynote address by Carlos Lobo, Vice-Rector of the University of Lisbon, and will also feature Ricardo Maia Magalhães, from Cerejeira Namora, and Patrícia Vinagre e Silva, from Proença de Carvalho. The session will be moderated by Filipa Ambrósio de Sousa, Executive Director of Advocatus.
The session aims to analyse the main challenges facing administrative justice in Portugal, namely the need for greater efficiency, predictability and responsiveness to the demands of both the economy and public administration.
