João Velez de Lima
João Velez de Lima a rejoint VdA en 2021. Il est Associé de la pratique Droit Fiscal, où il intervient notamment dans le domaine de la fiscalité des entreprises, et responsable du bureau de Porto.
João fournit des conseils fiscaux réguliers en matière d’impôts à des clients nationaux et internationaux, dans le cadre de la planification fiscale (nationale et internationale) de groupes d'entreprises et de groupes internationaux, ainsi que dans le cadre de contentieux fiscaux.
Il intervient régulièrement dans la supervision de travaux de conformité fiscale, notamment pour l'examen de déclarations fiscales, l'audit et le soutien fiscal à la clôture des comptes de sociétés portugaises et les diligences fiscales.
Il a été responsable de la coordination et du suivi fiscal de plusieurs processus de fusions-acquisitions et de réorganisation d'entreprises de groupes d'affaires issus de divers secteurs d'activité, apportant un soutien fiscal dans les processus d'internationalisation d'entreprises nationales et dans les processus de succession familiale.
Il intervient régulièrement pour soutenir la structuration d'investissements internationaux au Portugal, notamment dans les domaines des nouvelles technologies et de l'immobilier.
Licence en Droit de la Faculté de Droit de l'Université catholique portugaise (Porto).

Avant de rejoindre VdA, il a été collaborateur coordinateur et associé chez PLMJ Advogados. Auparavant, il a été avocat au département fiscal de deux cabinets ibériques entre 2004 et 2012 (Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira et Garrigues).
Il a débuté sa carrière en tant que conseiller fiscal chez Arthur Andersen/Deloitte en 2001. Entre 2013 et 2015 il a occupé le poste de Tax Senior Manager chez KPMG.
João has contributed several articles to industry magazines, directories, and newspapers.
