VdA is highlighted in the list of nominees for the Labour Awards 2021, recently disclosed by Iberian Lawyer, with the purpose of promoting competitiveness among law firms, focusing on the labour practice area, through the recognition of the excellence of lawyers specialised in labour law.

Manuel Cavaleiro Brandão and Rui Andrade (Partners) are both nominated for Lawyer of the Year in the categories of "Litigation", "Non-Contentious/Advisory", "Top Management", "Restructuring/Reorganisations", "M&A and Employment-related Issues", "Social Security", "Public Sector Employment" and "Criminal Employment Law". Manuel Cavaleiro Brandão was also nominated in the "Industrial/Trade Union Relations" category and Rui Andrade in the "Agency Relationships" and "Sports Law" categories.

VdA also counts with the nominations of the Of Counsel  Tiago Piló as "Lawyer of the Year" and the Managing Associates Américo Oliveira Fragoso for Lawyer of the Year in "Sports Law" and Pedro Ferreira de Sousa as Lawyer of the Year in "Social Security".

The awards ceremony where the winners will be announced takes place on December 2^nd in Lisbon.
