At a time when climate commitments are increasingly well defined, the central question is how to accelerate the transition from commitments to action. The session, organised by VdA, will explore the key challenges to implementation, including institutional capacity, governance, legal and regulatory frameworks, finance, knowledge, coordination and new forms of collaboration.

The conversation will bring together representatives from international organisations, the public sector and the private sector, offering complementary perspectives on what is needed to turn climate commitments into concrete results.

The session will also provide an opportunity to highlight the “Presiding Officers’ Guide to the UNFCCC Process”, currently available in several languages as a practical resource to strengthen understanding of and participation in the UNFCCC process. The Portuguese version was developed with the support of VdA, as part of the VdA–UNFCCC collaboration: Presiding Officers' Guide to the UNFCCC Process | UNFCCC
