Assunção Cristas participated in the public presentation of the ‘Forest Resilience Bond’ project, organised by the Agency for the Integrated Management of Rural Fires (AGIF), in partnership with the Embassy of the United States of America in Portugal.

This public seminar, held on 8 October, focused on ‘Fire prevention and financial innovation’ and aimed to present the first results on the potential implementation of the ‘Forest Resilience Bond’, a financial mechanism designed to mobilise resources from the private sector to accelerate forest management, prevent fires and generate returns for forest owners.

Assunção Cristas was one of the speakers at the event's round table, held to discuss the potential applicability of this financial instrument in Portugal.
