VdA, in partnership with ELSA Nova Lisboa, organised a course on Banking and Finance Law, which took place between 11 and 13 April in Webinar format (online), under the scientific coordination of VdA and having as trainers Pedro Cassiano Santos, José Pedro Fazenda Martins, Chen Chen, Diogo Bordeira Neves and Maria Beatriz Garcia, from the Banking & Finance pratice, Rita Pereira de Abreu, from the Tax practice and Mariana Catalão, from the Environment practice.
The course sought to frame, from the legislative and regulatory point of view, the main banking and finance activities, namely regarding national and international supervision models, the relevance of ESG issues and tax incidence and the functioning of the capital markets, as well as an excursion from the normal activity of credit institutions to the possibility of their resolution.
This initiative was attended by about 80 law students, in different study cycles and from various universities from all over the country.
