Former Assistant Professor at the University of Lisbon, Faculty of Law, is usually invited to lecture on several Post-Graduated Courses in Securities and Company Law (University of Lisbon, Faculty of Law, Catholic University and Universidade Nova) and to be Speaker in Conferences dedicated to Company and Securities Law.
Before joining the firm, he was the Head of Markets and Corporate Finance Department at the Portuguese Securities Commission (CMVM) and member of the Steering Committee of the Euronext College of Regulators.
In this regulatory capacity he intervened in the most important capital market transactions and listings of financial instruments that occurred in the last 5 years, including takeover bids, rights issues, securitisations and two business combination involving international Exchanges.
Author of several scientific articles on securities law issues and member of drafting groups that elaborated draft pieces of securities legislation and regulation.
