Paula Gomes Freire, Magda Cocco, Helena Correia Mendonça and Iakovina Kindylidi are speakers at the "AI Act - The Future is Now: Leveraging AI Innovation" Conference organised by VdA in partnership with the Center for Responsible AI.

The conference programme includes an opening session by Paula Gomes Freire, together with Paulo Dimas, CEO of the Center for Responsible AI. Magda Cocco is a speaker on the panel "Legal, Ethical and Economic Landscape of AI: Challenges and Strategies", Helena Correia Mendonça moderates the panel "Data Spaces in the AI Lifecycle | The Health Data Space" and Iakovina Kindylidi moderates the panel "The Technological Implications of AI Regulation on Products".

This conference is entirely dedicated to the debate on Artificial Intelligence (AI), developed following the first regulation on AI, approved in March by the European Parliament. The approval of this historic law represents a significant milestone in the future of AI, contributing to its development and to the assurance of reliable and safe AI, safeguarding the fundamental rights of the European Union.

It is in this context that the "AI Act - The Future is Now" Conference is an opportunity to explore the latest developments in AI, in an event that brings together industry leaders and policymakers to debate the legal, ethical and economic landscape of AI.

AI Act - The Future is Now" takes place on 13 May from 9am to 1pm at the António de Magalhães Cardoso Auditorium.
