A pioneering study in Europe, led by VdA as part of the New Space Portugal Agenda, in collaboration with GEOSAT, the Nova School of Business and Economics and CoLAB +ATLANTIC, aims to identify opportunities, gaps and challenges to position Portugal in the global Earth Observation market.

The project, entitled "Research Studies on the Development of Earth Observation", covers legal, economic, political, technical and social dimensions, with the aim of understanding how technology can boost this sector.

Magda Cocco emphasises the study's potential to strengthen Portugal's position in the global market in a competitive and sustainable way.

VdA is a member of New Space Portugal, a consortium of 39 organizations, in which it is represented by Magda Cocco and Helena Correia Mendonça.
