VdA inaugurates a new office in Timor-Leste, in March, 26 with a local team apt to contribute with efficiency and quality to the development of public and private sectors in Timor-Leste. This resident team accumulates to its local experience, the knowledge of more than 35 years of legal assistance and specialized knowledge in 18 practices that integrates the Portuguese offices.

To enhance this moment, a seminar on the topic International Public Private Partnerships in Timor-Leste as well as the signing of a protocol with the Universidade Nacional de Timor-Leste (National University of East-Timor) in which we guarantee an annual monetary donation for the acquisition of new books for the library, a lawyer from our Dili office to lecture at the Faculty of Law and a traineeship divided between Lisbon and Dili to students that have distinguished themselves throughout the course. Also to reinforce the importance of this date a donation of US$2,000 will be given to Fundação Alola, an institution that protects and safeguards women's rights, namely through the awareness of the care they should have with themselves and their babies postpartum, to acquire maternity kits, which will be distributed by Liquiça, Baucau, Maubisse and Oecussi districts - the poorest zones of the country.

The new office in Timor-Leste will strengthen VdA's international grasp, through its international platform VdAtlas, enhancing its aim to provide clients with access to legal services worldwide and combining our team of more than 170 lawyers with highly specialized local support, bounded by common values and work standards, such as excellency and quality.
