In London, the 11^th of February, VdA received the “European Health Deal of the Year” and “African Communications Deal of the Year” awards from Project Finance Magazine (Euromoney Publications), a prestigious international publication in the financial sector.

The team was led by Manuel Protásio (partner - Projects) and Paulo Pinheiro (partner - Public), and had, as other members, Ana Luís de Sousa and Frederico Quintela (associates)

“African Communications Deal of the Year”
The team, led by Manuel Protásio (partner - Projects), Magda Cocco (partner - Telecommunications) and Tiago Marreiros Moreira (partner - Tax), included Teresa Empis Falcão (managing associate - Projects), Conceição Gamito (managing associate - Tax), Catarina Mascarenhas, Tiago Bessa, Joana Albernaz Delgado and Angela Lucas (associates).

The awards bestowed on these transactions serve as recognition not only of the work carried out by VdA’s Project Finance area, but also of the firm’s ability to organise multidisciplinary teams to provide legal support to complex transactions.

In a year in which VdA invested heavily in the African market, expanding its partnership in Mozambique and building up relations with other African countries, winning the “African Communication Deal of the Year” award has served to strengthen VdA’s determination to becoming a leading player in this market.
