Magda Cocco is quoted in an article by Iberian Lawyer entitled " Space, the law’s new Frontier", which reports on the exponential growth of space law and the consequent redefinition of the role of lawyers and legislators in this sector.

From this context, Magda Cocco explains the development of this area, clarifying that " “The growth of what is called New Space—a private sector aiming to democratize access to space and reduce the cost of related activities— is also contributing to the universalization of these activities, even in countries without launch centers, like Portugal".

Portugal has implemented specific legislation to regulate space activities, known as the Law on Access to Space Activities, which seeks to regulate rapid technological innovations in the sector. Even so, according to Magda Cocco, future European space legislation will have a more substantial impact on the development of the sector and the evolution of space law in Portugal.

"For those who provide legal support to tech-based sectors, the disruptive potential of technology give rise to all kinds of legal challenges, forcing the law to evolve”", concludes Magda Cocco.
