With the publication of Law No. 12-A/2026 of 15 April, Portugal has implemented the Digital Services Act (DSA), establishing the national framework for its supervision and setting out the obligations applicable to providers of intermediary services.

Tiago Bessa and Martim Farinha are the authors of the article ‘Portugal's Digital Services Act Implementation Law: What You Need to Know’, in which they analyse this new legal framework applicable to digital services in Portugal.

In the article, the authors examine the main impacts of this regime, in a context of increasing regulatory demands on intermediary service providers, highlighting the strengthening of supervisory authorities’ powers and the new compliance obligations.
