Magda Cocco was interviewed by PME Magazine on the application of the AI Act to small and medium-sized enterprises, analysing the new obligations that will apply from 2 August 2026 and the main challenges these organisations face in complying with the new regulatory framework.

Throughout the interview, the VdA Partner clarifies the scope of the Regulation, explains the new transparency obligations and highlights the importance of organisations understanding the AI tools they already use, promoting AI literacy and implementing appropriate governance mechanisms.

The interview also addresses the postponement of the rules applicable to high-risk AI systems, which, according to Magda Cocco, represents an opportunity for organisations to strengthen their preparations for compliance with the AI Act.
