For a decade, João Vieira de Almeida has been considered by Jornal de Negócios as "one of the most powerful", in an annual ranking that classifies the most influential national figures in the political, economic and business panorama. In 2024, João Vieira de Almeida is once again on this list, occupying the 39th place in this ranking.

The recognition granted to  VdA's senior partner is justified, by Jornal de Negócios, "both for his work in leading the law firm Vieira de Almeida e Associados, and for his impact on the business sector", classifying him as "an undisputed name in the world of business and economics".

At the same time, Jornal de Negócios also highlights the work developed by VdA over the last year, namely through the awards, distinctions and transactions in which VdA has been involved.

"In 2024 it was awarded the prize for Best Law Firm of the Year by the international directories Chambers, IFLR and Who's Who Legal. For the 12th consecutive year, it was also honoured as 'Law Firm Bonds' at the Euronext Lisbon Awards," highlights Jornal de Negócios.  In addition, as the newspaper points out, great deals are not done without the necessary legal advice, which is why the various relevant transactions in which VdA participated during the last year are highlighted.

This recognition attributed to João Vieira de Almeida is also associated with raising awareness of issues related to mental health, highlighting VdA’s senior partner as "a leader who cares about the well-being of his employees and the community in general", with emphasis on the Pact for Mental Health in Work Environments,  signed by VdA in collaboration with the Center for Responsible Business & Leadership, of the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics.
