Rita Rocha is the co-author of the article "Is it necessary to train top leadership?", written in collaboration with Nuno Sousa from SHL Portugal and published in Human Magazine.

The article reflects on the need for continuous training for professional development and adaptation to the new demands of the labour market, arguing that this principle should be followed by employees and organisational leaders.

Rita Rocha and Nuno Sousa argue that "for effective leadership it is necessary to abandon the traditional models of servant leadership and vertical leadership (from top to bottom) and adopt horizontal leadership models, based on example, collaboration and the individual responsibility for everyone".

The authors list three measures that they consider important to ensure the desired result, which, they argue, are fundamental to prepare leaders for challenges such as digital transformation and sustainability. It is thus intended to ensure a leadership model based on example and the promotion of a productive culture, aligned with the organisational culture.
