"If you want to reject bonus in twelfths, do it today"
Employment & Benefits practice senior associate, Benedita Gonçalves, is heard by the Portuguese daily newspaper Jornal de Negócios on the regime that allows half of the holiday and Christmas bonus to be paid in twelfths in the private sector, although if required can be paid according to the traditional terms.
"Workers may be objected once again to this form of payment, provided they do so, expressly, until January 5, 2016," states Benedita Gonçalves.
