Pedro Fontes spoke at the 2nd Seminar on Cancer Survivorship, an initiative organised by CUF Oncology as part of its Cancer Survivor Unit, a pioneering project in Portugal dedicated to supporting people following cancer treatment.

As part of the panel ‘Rights, Support and Pathways for Patients and Carers – During and After Cancer’, the VdA lawyer addressed the main legal challenges associated with the protection and support of cancer patients and their carers, in a context that demands increasingly coordinated responses across different sectors.

The seminar brought together specialists, survivors, carers and community representatives to discuss solutions aimed at minimising the impact of cancer and its treatments on patients’ quality of life.
