On 5 May, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, VdA is organising the 2nd ESG Forum | The European Omnibus and the Geopolitics of Sustainability, at Estufa – Tazte Secret Spot, in Lisbon.
At a time marked by the approval of the European legislative package known as Omnibus I, aimed at simplifying the ESG regulatory framework, and against a backdrop of heightened geopolitical instability, the Forum will explore in depth the key sustainability challenges and opportunities facing businesses.
Throughout the event, participants will discuss the impact of these developments on the sustainability agenda and global dynamics, as well as the perspective of international companies on the role of sustainability in their strategic development and operations.
Part I – The first part of the programme, taking place in the morning, will be dedicated to a broad reflection on sustainability in the current geopolitical context. Topics will include the scope and impact of European legislation, the anticipated direction of the next European Commission, how companies are adapting to this new framework, as well as the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Part II – The second part will consist of a hands-on session, accompanied by lunch, structured around ten thematic roundtables. Focusing on key ESG pillars, these sessions will bring participants together to discuss specific topics in a workshop format, supported by artificial intelligence.
