Miguel Marques dos Santos

Miguel Marques dos Santos joined VdA in 2017. Partner of the Real Estate practice, Miguel has been working in Real Estate, Urban Planning and Tourism, providing legal advice to both national and foreign investors and developers, and was involved in some of the major real estate transactions in Portugal in recent years.

Miguel focuses his practice on: purchase, sale and lease of real property; overall follow-up of real estate projects (commercial, housing and tourist projects); architect, engineering, project management and construction supervision services agreements; works contracts (new construction and building rehabilitation); horizontal property; urban, tourist and commercial licensing; real estate and urban planning due diligences.

Law Degree, Catholic University of Lisbon School of Law.

Lecturer at the Post-graduation in Real Estate Law, at the Law School of Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (2010 and 2011).

Partner and Head of the Real Estate and Urban Planning Practice Group at Garrigues Portugal between 2005 and October 2016.

Founding partner of Leónidas, Matos & Associados, Sociedade de Advogados (2001-2005).

Founding partner of Roquette, Vaz Pinto & Marques dos Santos, Sociedade de Advogados (1996-2000).

Authored and co-authored several books and articles for specialty magazines:
