Teresa Pitorra, senior associate in the area of Litigation and Arbitration and a specialist in insolvency processes, was interviewed by the Diário Económico on the bankruptcy of Livraria Byblos. She mentions that: ‘Nine months after insolvency proceedings were instigated, the creditors no longer believed in a sunny future for the firm’, adding that “it is strange that the plan was rejected out of hand because it is normally adaptable to creditors’ wishes”.
