Ana Raquel Costa (Senior Associate) is quoted in an article in the Jornal de Negócios on the monitoring of orders outside the European Union following the entry into force of the new VAT rules on imports and exports.
On the precautions that the consumer needs to have under these new rules, Ana Raquel Costa says "to check, when buying online, whether the price has VAT included or not, since if there is no indication of this when the order arrives, then the person who is buying will have to deal with customs clearance and pay the tax".
