VdA has extensive experience in advising family businesses at different stages of their development and on matters spanning governance, corporate organisation, growth, succession and wealth structuring.
Against this backdrop, VdA has partnered with the Private Law Research Centre of the University of Lisbon School of Law (CIDP) to promote the 1st Postgraduate Course in Family Business Law: Governance, Growth and Succession.
Ana Perestrelo de Oliveira is the Course’s Academic Coordinator. The teaching staff includes a strong representation of VdA lawyers: Magda Cocco, Tiago Marreiros Moreira, Paulo Olavo Cunha, Miguel Ventura, João RIscado Rapoula, Maria Cunha Matos and Chen Chen will lead sessions covering different legal and strategic aspects of family businesses.
This partnership between VdA and CIDP brings together VdA’s practical experience and the Centre’s academic and scientific expertise, providing an integrated approach to the main legal, corporate and strategic challenges faced by family businesses.
