Tiago Bessa took part in the 33rd AICEP Forum on Portuguese-Language Communications, which took place on 27 and 28 April in Maputo, organised by the International Association of Portuguese-Language Communications (AICEP).

The VdA Partner moderated the panel ‘Legal Framework and Infrastructure for Digitalisation and its Accessibility’, which featured Sandra Maximiano, Chair of the Board of Directors of ANACOM (Portugal), Adilson dos Santos Gomes, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Agency for Digital Transformation and Innovation (Mozambique), Augusto Mota Carvalho, Chair of the Board of Directors of Angola Cables, Carlos Barrocas, Institutional Director of RTP, and Martins Langa, Executive Director of the Engineering and Inspection Department at INCM (Mozambique).

In addition to this panel, Tiago Bessa also moderated the panel 'Financing, Investment and Regulation', which brought together Helena Fernandes, Chair of the Board of Directors of INCM (Mozambique), Ederson Machado, Chair of the Board of Directors of Correios de Angola, Bruno Neto, Executive Director of MSTelcom (Angola), Leonilde Santos, Chair of the Board of Directors of ARME (Cabo Verde) and Chair of the Board of ARCTEL-CPLP, and Lourino Chemane, Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Institute for Information and Communication Technologies (Mozambique).

On the occasion of this meeting, Tiago Bessa represented VdA at the AICEP General Assembly.

The AICEP Forum provided a space for reflection and debate on the contribution of digital transformation to administrative modernisation, bringing together business leaders, regulators and industry experts to discuss the sector’s main challenges and opportunities, with a particular focus on the role of innovation and artificial intelligence.
