On 9 July, VdA will take part in the '10 Years of the GDPR' conference, organised by the General Council of the Portuguese Bar Association and its Sub-Committee on Information Technology and Robotics.

Maria de Lurdes Gonçalves will join the panel 'The GDPR in Sensitive Sectors', where she will address the topic 'The GDPR and Healthcare', sharing her perspective on the challenges surrounding the application of the General Data Protection Regulation in the healthcare sector.

Marking a decade since the GDPR entered into force, the conference provides an opportunity to reflect on the evolution of data protection and the emerging challenges in this field, with a particular focus on sensitive sectors and the impact of Artificial Intelligence.

Throughout the event, speakers from different fields will discuss the application of the GDPR in healthcare and the media, the challenges of data protection in legal practice, and the future of Artificial Intelligence.
