João Almeida Filipe participates as a speaker in the IV International Lusophone Meeting - "Deconstructing the Anthropocene, Art, Politics and Nature", which takes place from 15 to 17 July, at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto.

This conference aims to promote the debate on the role of the human being in ecology and global geopolitics, promoting dialogue on the deconstruction of socio-economic and political traditions and cultural and institutional practices.

João Almeida Filipe participates, on June 16, in the panel on "Policies for Culture and Sustainable Governance of Cultural Ecosystems",where he will present the theme "Sustainable Cultural Heritage". In his presentation, VdA's lawyer proposes a reflection on the threats that climate change poses to the integrity of cultural assets. In this context, João Almeida Filipe will address what can and should be done in existing legislation and regulations, in response to the statement of the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNDRR) that there are no real natural disasters, but rather omissions or bad human decisions.
