Magda Cocco was invited to participate in the 21st edition of the ‘Science Café in Parliament’, organised by Ciência Viva and the Parliamentary Committee on Education and Citizenship. The event will take place on 9 October and its theme is ‘Responsible Artificial Intelligence’.

The initiative brings together members of parliament, researchers, entrepreneurs and members of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to debate the ethical, social and economic implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The event aims to ensure that political decisions related to AI are based on scientific knowledge and that technological development respects society's ethical values. Among the main topics to be addressed are the challenges that legislators face when regulating AI, as well as the responsibilities and rights of its creators and users.
