Mariana França Gouveia will participate in the XVIII Annual Congress of the Commercial Arbitration Centre of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, taking place from 2 to 4 July, in the Noble Hall of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The VdA lawyer will lead the opening session on the second day of the event, followed by an intervention on the panel titled “Interim Measures and Emergency Arbitrator,” moderated by Rita Lynce de Faria (Portuguese Catholic University).

Under the theme “How Can Arbitration Effectively Address Present and Future Challenges of Today's World?”, the event will foster discussions on issues of high relevance to the sector. Key topics include the multi-door dispute resolution system, interim measures and the emergency arbitrator, scrutiny of the arbitral award, and the viability of expedited arbitration.
